I’m baaaaaaack!!!
#dontcallitacomeback
I went for a run… on a treadmill… STILL COUNTS!
I don’t need to go into detail about how bad treadmills are (that’s a given) but they are necessary when the weather outside is this #blizzardesque. I knew that I would have to do some unsavory things with my training, but I was really hoping that wouldn’t include using one of those wretched devices. I might be over dramatizing this, but it almost doesn’t feel like I ran when I did it on a treadmill. Am I alone in feeling like this?
After a “real” run, I feel pride and accomplishment. After a treadmill run, I feel a weird form of vertigo. After a “real” run, I check my Garmin stats/map and admire my handy work. After a treadmill run I get the pleasure of cleaning the device I despise #moredramatism.
Besides all that, it feels GREAT to be back! In the time it has taken me to write this post, I have now done two good treadmill runs. Today I climbed up to my desired marathon pace of 6:40/mile, and it felt soooo right. I felt fast again, and I remembered why I love running so much.
So once again… I’M BAAAAAACK!!!
Check out my food game lately…
Did I just become a vegetarian!? It’s really easy to cut out meat if you meal plan and make dinners like this (thank you Pinterest). We mixed all this into a salad with some humus and naan bread… DELICIOUS!
I’m back to training and it feel awesome. I have my new training plan posted, so feel free to check it out. I (once again) used a mix of various plans I found online, and sprinkled in a dash of all the amazing feedback I have received on this blog. I think this new plan is vastly improved.
Here’s to new beginings, and as always let’s #sub3!
Awesome! Good luck! Stay healthy!
